It’s Wahoo season here in St. Thomas!
Trophy-sized Wahoo have made their way back into our offshore waters and some great catches have been landing on the docks across the island. School size mahi-mahi and tuna are also showing up offshore in solid numbers, a good sign for the upcoming fall season. Can’t be long before the larger fish come on the offshore scene!
Inshore fishing has really heated up with the unexpected arrival of school sized mahi-mahi following bait into the waters just outside Charlotte Amalie harbor. With their acrobatic leaps and rod-bending power, mahi-mahi on light tackle is fishing at its very best! Big barracuda, jacks and yellowtail have also provided consistent action and tasty fillets for the inshore angler.
