Wahooooooooo!
That’s been the word on our charters so far this season! Big Wahoo are hitting the deck on a regular basis. 10+ Wahoo per day have been the norm. Mahi-Mahi are also in the day’s mix and just in the past week there have been reports of huge schools entering VI waters, a good sign that the winter season is really starting to heat up. This month we should find that big Bull Mahi to start the winter season off right. We also picked up a couple nice 40lb Yellowfin Tuna on a recent trip just before the start of the holidays. The Yellowfin season is just starting so be sure to check out our 5 hr Afternoon Tuna Bite trips specifically targeting these prized sportfish.
The inshore scene continues to be hot with Spanish mackerel, Barracuda and Yellowtail offering a fun day of rod-bending action on light tackle. Blue runners, Bonito and even small Mahi can be caught in the surrounding reefs and bays this time of year.
Be sure to give Capt. Alvin or Capt. John a call today and get in on the action here in St Thomas!
